Death Rider T-Shirt Black is a classic in the Motorbike world. In fact, 1957 marks the birth of one of Harley Davidson’s most iconic models, the 1957 XL Sportster. Perhaps not everyone knows that one of the most renowned motorbikes of all time was born from a story of “resilience”. Harley Davidsons in the immediate post-war period found themselves competing with British bikes, which were actually invading the US market. So Harley, short of major investments – began designing a midsize motorbike to compete with the UK motorbikes.
Death Rider T-Shirt White: back into the past
Along with the rise of the Sportster success, the classic T-Shirt, introduced to the general public by Cinema, became a symbol of the bad boy. A synonymous with youthful rebellion. These are the roots of the Death Rider T-Shirt. Like today, back in the 1950s, thousands of young non-conformists started to wear the T-shirt. First strictly white and then, with the cultural movement that took place between the ’60s and ’70s, with numerous variations.
For this reason, we created the Death Rider T-Shirt White. It was at this time that the first political messages started to appear on t-shirts (now back in vogue). As result, the t-shirt became not only a trendy item of clothing, but also a way of asserting one’s personality. As you can certainly see in our Bobber Mafia and Death Rider’s collection. A revolutionary spirit plus a mischief attitude which you can put on you.
Death Rider T-Shirt “Gold Edition” (Front Logo, Black): a Must
Dudley Perkins Harley-Davidson sold a lot of Sportsters to smaller people, including some pioneering women. Riders of smaller stature were interested in the Sportster. There was always a hardcore of women riders, and a lot of them rode Sportsters. Some rode them as they came, without modifying them. Henceforth a completely new trend was seeing the light. Therefore we bring back these golden memories with our Death Rider T-Shirt Front Logo Black, Gold Edition.
Early Sportsters had some special features. The XLCH straight pipes made the most wonderful noise. At that stage, noise equalled speed. The handling was pretty good by the standards of the day. The relatively long wheelbase made Sportsters somewhat lazy handlers. The brakes were not particularly bad. In the Fifties, no one sold bikes with really good brakes. Vibration? It did! But the bars were rubber-mounted and the seat was on springs, so it wasn’t too bad at all!
